Deborah co-produced The Stars That Remain at The Old Joint Stock Theatre, Birmingham in 2018. All performances were sold-out a month in advance and supporters of the piece included former Birmingham Rep Associate Director Steve Ball, legendary West End lead Dave Willetts and BBC broadcaster Adrian Goldberg. Deborah also co-produced a concert performance of songs from the show at the Musical Rewrites festival for new musicals at The Lowry Theatre, Salford Quays in 2021.
In that same year Deborah was selected for Stage One’s prestigious three-day London workshop. (Stage One is a charity organisation which has supported and trained commercial theatre producers for more than 50 years).
From 2022 Deborah assumed all production responsibilities for After This Plane Has Landed, overseeing the show’s six workshop and preview performances across two Birmingham venues.
A highly successful transfer to Edinburgh followed where the show was cherry-picked to feature in the media launch concert organised by renowned production and promotions company the Space UK and ran for the entirety of the 2023 Festival Fringe based at their flagship Surgeons’ Hall venue. Chosen as one of the top ten musicals by respected website Musical Theatre Review, After This Plane Has Landed then went on to gain an OffFest nomination for the Offies Awards 2024.
Deborah’s hard work was rewarded in the Spring of that year as she became the recipient of a Stage One bursary in recognition of her progression as an independent commercial theatre producer. Subsequently she was assigned mentorship from John Stalker (Executive Producer at John Stalker Productions and Music and Lyrics Limited, former Chief Executive at Birmingham Rep and Administrative Director at Liverpool Playhouse).
As a former journalist, Press Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister and Head of News, Deborah also brings a wealth of experience and expertise in strategic communications to her role with Exit Productions.

Adrian is an experienced song writer, musician and producer who runs his own commercial recording studio in Birmingham.
He wrote book, music and lyrics for The Stars That Remain (TSTR) which premiered at The Old Joint Stock Theatre (OJS) in November 2018. The show went on to win the Love Midlands Theatre Award (Best New Work) with an original cast album released in 2019.
Songs from the show have featured in venues off-West End (The Union, Tristan Bates) as well as the Midlands (Wolverhampton Arena, Blue Orange). In October 2021, Adrian arranged a bespoke TSTR medley for a showcase concert at The Lowry Theatre, Salford Quays.
Adrian is also lyricist for in-development musical Wardrobe which has benefitted from two full week sharing workshops (Leicester Curve/OJS) and received a professional concert performance at London’s Sands Film Studio.
During lockdown Adrian worked remotely with West End regulars Alice Fearn (Wicked), Dom Hartley-Harris (Hamilton) Vicki Manser and Sophie Isaacs (both from the cast of Six) on a project instigated by influential theatrical website West End Best Friend.
He is also a regular music producer for drag stars Ginny Lemon (Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK) and Fatt Butcher (The Voice UK) and has recently written music alongside British Country Music artist Sarah Riches for her Nashville produced album, achieving a #2 iTunes chart hit with lead single Dancing In The Rain.
Adrian began work on After This Plane Has Landed in January 2021 and, in a pre-Edinburgh 2023 interview stated:
Much of this subject matter is specific and remarkable but the universal themes of love, separation, reunion and beyond will chime, I believe, with every audience and not just aficionados of musicals. The theatre is such a broad church, I see no reason why fresh and entertaining adult-themed drama with properly crafted songs shouldn’t sit comfortably alongside ‘jukebox’ shows or spinoffs based on existing movies or TV.
